A Message from our School Principal

Dear Mustang Families,

Welcome to Sahuarita High School, home of the Mustangs! We are happy you’re here! I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Stephanie Magnuson and I am a proud mom of two boys, Brayden and Landon. My husband and I are avid football fans and are active in the football community. We spend most of our free time watching our boys play!

I was born and raised in Saugus, California, and moved to Tucson during my junior year of high school, graduating from Sabino High School. I then attended the University of Arizona, focusing on Elementary Education. I received my master’s degree from Northern Arizona University in educational leadership and began my career teaching in the Vail School District where I have worked exclusively for the past 17 years. I began as an elementary teacher and then shifted into a leadership role as a Student Achievement Teacher. 12 years later, I had the pleasure of joining Cienega High School, where I served as the Assistant Principal over Curriculum and Instruction.

Now, I have the honor and privilege of serving as the principal of this amazing school! Sahuarita High School has extraordinary staff, students, and parents who work hard to support and care for each other. Our mission is to gain success through high standards, expectations, and support, and our students choose their pathways! I am proud to serve this amazing community and am here to help however I can.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff or our administrative team should you need anything. We look forward to the many opportunities we’ll have to work together to help your child thrive! Thank you for choosing SHS!

Go Mustangs! Stephanie Magnuson
